Many people are surprised when I tell them that there are tons of artcars all over the country and the world. There is a huge festival/parade of them in Houston. Some of the cars in this album have participated in the Orange Show Parade. Several of these pictures were taken so long ago that I don't remember the names of the cars or the artists, but I'd love to give the talented and dedicated people who created them due credit, so if you recognize something I posted please contact me so I can update the information about these cars. The external links for the cars I know should come up when you click on the picture.
I'm always amazed at the diversity, imagination, and skill involved in the creation of artcars. Obviously some are not street legal, but many of us who make our cars drive them every day. Driving an artcar is the most fun I've ever had. People just burst into a smile wherever I go, give me the "thumbs up" on the beltway, honk and wave excitedly, leave notes, and generally just seem to get a great deal of amusement from seeing Rowrrr. I feel lucky to be able to channel my creativity into something that people seem to enjoy so much.
